Help with Honda 7.5 model year please

Hi all. New member - 1st post.

I have a 7.5 hp Honda BF 75 serial number BF75-1003715, that is blue and white with some yellow lettering on the cover. I believe it is 1980's vintage? Can someone help me with the exact year of this motor? I need to try and find a few parts.

Can you tell me if the parts on a 1978 Honda BF 75 are interchangeable with those on a 1975????

according to my partsmart diagrams...they are not... but I would do some physical comparisons as partsmart has been known to be wrong in some cases 8)
