I am removing my bravo 3 gimbal ring to repair it. I have everything off but in the bottim pin some genius used steel cotter pin. Ends broke off and i have nothing to pull in and i cant get a good angle for a punch

I am guessing ill have to cut the pin then after removing the ring it will be a better angle

Maybe i can tap a threaded hole in the bottim and see if a slide hammer will break the cotter pin? Ill look at it again and see if i can get a zawsaw in there to cut the pin without touching the ring

could just drill it thru and replace with a slightly larger cotter pin or drill it thru and redrill for a new cotter pin hole..
Hammering will likely break the transom ears , sawzall or wiz wheel but you mat need a SS thin washer to space it where it belongs

Haven't ever done it, but might think about drilling a hole in one of the ears to line up with the hole.

That might work alldodge i. Doesnt have to be a very large hole so maybe an option to drill it.
