help with changing controls

i am working on a boat that had a omc engine, and i think a generic control, trademarked with a"M" in a circle. i am trading the omc engine for a suzuki and need info on control cables

Meray,<br /><br />I'm guessing her, but I would say rhe "M" stands for Morse or Mercury.<br /><br />If it's a Morse, the cable change will be a snap. If it's Merc. the swap could be more difficult.<br /><br />Look around the control and see if you see the word "Quicksilver". If so, it's Merc.

djohns19, it has no logo to indicate that it is a merc. the logo i indicated is on the individual parts in the control.i found a site teleflexmorse that had universal control cables that look like they will work.thanks for the help.
