2007 Suzuki df250 4 stroke. I rebuilt heads from water entry from a failed gasket and upon rebuild. My manual makes reference to TDC, but does not display the cylinder firing order, or #1 cyl location. I don't want to assume, but certain that when facing the timing marks from the under side of the powerhead that the left top head (port side) is the #1 cylinder. Can someone please confirm that?

I'm finding at manualslib that number one is top right, this is facing boat looking Aft and seeing front of motor, so port side of boat on top

Edit, this is assuming the heads face toward the bow. Never looked under the cowl of a Suz so don't know which way the motor faces

I appreciate it, just trying to confirm that the starboard head, top, is the #1 from what I'm narrowing it down to. The alignment dot on the crank is at the 12-o'clock, and the driven gear is matching. The starboard cyl. is just about at its' top travel with the alignment mark matching. However, when turning the crank the piston appears to be 1/4 - 1/8 from TDC, and the alignmnet dot moves past 12... still has me thinking.

I appreciate your quick reply!
