Help whats this boat?

I have a boat that was originally purchased through Sear Canada and I have been looking for any info on it or the manufacturer but have come up empty on both counts after much surching, so maybe someone here knows something about this and would be so kind as to help.

On the Transport Canada tag are NO- 239578
Horse power 20
Builder St Maurice
Max load 900lbs
Model 72
Then at the bottom is the # 75 I'm guessing that's the date built.
Its sort of a tri hull, fiberglass 14' and very sturdy in rough water and plains very well even with a 9.9

I had a 12' did it up and sold it as I got this 14' to fix up

I have a late 80's St-Maurice, mine is model 62, I have been having a tough time finding out anything about the manufacturer

It's a Sears boat. Many many manufacturer's made boats for Sears and they were re-branded with Sears name.

Many of the odd manufacturer's have gone out of business and vanished.

You have a few choices...... contact Sears and see if they have a record or not worry about it.

Depends what you're looking for. Random boats sold by Sears are pretty hard to identify. Sears, both in the USA and Canada, sold boats made by a number of different manufacturers. Your little 14' trihull could have been made by any of dozens of companies.

In your case, you know the name of the manufacturer, which is apparently out of business or you'd find them on the web. What does that mean? Nothing. Your boat is what it is...a small fiberglass trihull fishing boat.

It's not clear what you want from iboats. What information are you looking for? The people here who voluntarily answer questions do all they can, but there's not much to say about your boat. It just is what it is. If it works for you, enjoy it. If you have a problem with it, there's lots of help to be found for any type of fiberglass boat. Yours is just another fiberglass boat. Knowing the manufacturer is irrelevant to any problems you might have, since it's not even in business any longer.

Ask specific questions and you'll get specific answers.

this site lists the maker but not your model i dont think. Old Boat Brochures.

i also keep running into this paragraph. it comes from the history of Dural and Canadian boats.

"The competition was high in boat construction in the 1950's. Canots Saint-Maurice was in competition with Cadorette. Canots Saint-Maurice was a specialist in the making of small pleasure boats in fiberglass. Its production was aimed essentially for the Canadian market."
