Help, What year is this motor??

I have no serial no plate for this motor and need to know roughly what age it is.<br />I have stripped the carb (gummed up with stuff), Does anyone know how many turns to set the slow and fast mixture screws to?? www.driveinmud.fsnet.co.uk/images/mycars/boat.jpg <br /><br />Thanks

Look on rear top of engine block for plug that looks like small core/freeze plug for automotive engine. This plug has numbers.
