I took it to the lake today for a short ride. I noticed the engine was almost like cutting off on idle and I went to check out the engine compartment when I noticed a white milky combination of water and oil coming up the top of the engine. I winterized the boat last fall and I thought I marked the inlet and outlet hoses that go into the cooling system right. Anyway, I think I screwed it up by switching the inlet and outlet hoses before I took the boat to the lake. I would like to confirm how they are attached. The hose connected to the lowest pump fitting, does it go up or does it go towards the back of the engine and then up? Is there a diagram of this setup I can find on the web? Also, if this is the what caused the mix of water and oil do I have a blown gasket, cracked block or do I have to flush all this mess from the engine and correct the hoses. I don't think the engine overheated. The dipstick is all the way to the top with oil and water mixed.
