Hi. I have a 1995 bravo 3 transom housing removed from my crownline. There is a localised corrosion hole near the top edge of the housing, my question is can I have a welding repair done or should I try to source a good used one.

:welcome: to iboats

Depending on where it is, welding is possible. Take it to a welding shop and ask an expert if it can be done. I would suggest posting a pic so we could look at it but there are issues here at iboats at this time. Another method, if there is room is to drill and tap, then install a plug. but this to I would need to see the location

Thanks for your reply,
got it checked out, welder said he couldn't guarantee it because of salt impregnation so ordered a good used and checked one on ebay.
