Ok, careless idiot here...how's this for a first post?
I recently purchased a 32oz bottle of Yamaha Ring Free (Plus) and while out on the water, accidentally let 24oz(!) go into the tank ? I was planning on doing a shock treatment before putting the boat up for the season. I pierced the seal with my thumb, turned the bottle up, and before I knew what happened, 3/4 of the bottle dropped in, followed by a few choice words (strung together in an incoherent rant about being an idiot)
I had 21 gallons of gas in the tank, and fearing I would damage the engine (SX200TXRZ), went to the dock and immediately filled the tank up to its maximum capacity (80 gallons) to dilute the Ring Free as much as possible.
My question is, should I have the tank drained to prevent damage to the engine or keep running/topping off till things get so diluted it is no longer a concern? Obviously after this fiasco I will replace plugs ? anything else I should be worried about?
Thanks for your help,
