Help! Spark problems...

Hello again, I'm trying to get an old Volvo Penta 230 running and up untill 20 minutes ago I havn't been able to get spark out of it. Finally after some tinkering on this beautiful Saturday i got spark from the COIL, but still no spark at the wires... I tried 3 of the 4 wires, got nothing from any of them. I re set the contacts 3 different times, still nothing. The wires look fairly new and so does the cap/rotor, no scoring on it at all. I think the last person that owned the boat replaced the cap and rotor before giving up on it.

Any ideas? Spark at the coil wire but no spark at the plugs with a brand new cap/rotor?

Thanks

If you are genuinely getting spark from the main coil wire, but not from any of the spark plug wires, then the possible list of causes is short:

Bad wires
Wires not installed on the cap completely
Bad / incorrect rotor

I would suggest starting with #2 - make sure the wires are completely down on the distributor cap.
