Help setting S/S carb adjustment 1997 60 Hp 3 cyl Johnson

I have read many different procedures on setting the mixture screws on this motor, so now I'm confused. Furthermore my service manual is missing the critical pages I have page 3-63 then it jumps to 3-73 and the index shows 3-71 for the instructions for the 3-cyl engines. DOH!
Can anyone tell me what the correct initial setting is for the mixture screws? is it 1-1/2 turns out, 2 , 2-1/2 etc. I believe the initial setting are model & year dependent, this one is a 1997 60 with Quickstart and SLOW. Thanks.
