I have what I believe a 1997 ( not sure exactly because Im at a lake and registration is at home and also its 1200 midnight and cant see anything outside to check ) seadoo sp with the dess system. Last year it wouldnt turn over at all when I press the start/stop switch so I cleaned the contacts on the key and kill switch and after a while it started. This year the same thing but cleaning isnt doing anything. when I press the start stop button it clicks but wont turn over. I can jump the selenoid and it turns over but still wont start. Any ideas on what could be the problem. Could it be the kill switch itself or could it just be the dess key. Or could it be in the start/stop switch itself. The battery was completly dead so I did put new battery in it. could this cause the Dess to lose it programming? Id appreciate any advice thanks.
