HELP! Seadoo GSX limited, shuts off when i give it gas

Hey guys just wanted to say that i love this forum, so informative. i HOPE i can also get some help.

i have a Seadoo GSX limited and it starts fine and everything but it shuts off when i squeeze the throttle down for 5 seconds or so. the engine seems to go fast then slo fast then slow. what do you guys think can be the problem?

also, what does the circular switch mean? it has the pictures of "GAS" then "GAS with a loine across it and one that says RES.


My check list so far on the things i know:

1) gas in fuel tank.
2) electric is good.
3) engine starts

You may want to make sure the fuel lines are clean....thats all I can think of. May have to break down and take it to a mechanic...sorry I couldn't be more help.

bad fuel sending unit and fuel starvation to the carbs,, see the other similar question asked here for more info
