Hi - I am seeing corrosion around the grease zerk's on my Yam 200 HPDI.
Does anyone know if its possible to replace the bracket components with the motor still on the boat (supported at the base), at least the outer left and right bracket pieces?

youre talking about the port and stbd clamp brackets right? You can just replace the zerk fittings. You probably could, but it would take alot longer. Probably alot easier to just pull the motor and do it that way.

Re: Help Replacing Engine Bracket

Hi JMX101 - Thanks for the reply, yes, those brackets. I pulled one of the zerk fittings on the starboard bracket and the hole was plugged with a crusty white powder. I took a tiny brill bit and twisted in gently by hand, blowing out the white corrosion powder. To my surprise it plunged right through through the hollow tube running the length of the bracket, NO GOOD!
