Boat is a 1983 Century 3000 sport with a Chevy 5.7 and a 800 sterndrive. The engine got water in it and needs to be rebuilt. Can it be removed with the drive on the boat? There is plenty of room to slide it forward. Any secrets to unhooking it? I have pulled a few auto engines but never a boat engine. If I have to pull the drive, how do I go about doing it? Thanks for any help!

Taking the Drive off is easy.. Only a couple of bolts, and take the rams off, and shifter.

Thats the short version...

Best suggestion:

By a manual on Ebay.. They are a HUGE Help....

Tallman
