Re: help please.

Virtually any "graphics" software can be used for this. What works well in addition to that is a "capture" software that allows you to go to any web site, picture, diagram, etc., and capture the entire page, anything on that page, or any part of anything on that page. Doesn't matter what software was used to create whatever it is you want to capture. I've used a program called Full Shot for years. Snag It is another variation. You capture the image, drop it into whatever graphics program you have and connect the various points with simple lines. Most of my diagrams are done with Full Shot, layed out in Microsoft Power Point, then the completed diagram is captured and saved as a .jpg image, uploaded to PhotoBucket for on-line storage. Don't know what Don S. uses but whatever it is it works great.

thanks silvertip i will check all that out. my problem is ive run into some good sofyware to download for free but I bought a i-mac and it comes up in jiberish. ive seen a couple of the diagrams youve posted and their just what i want to do, but i cant see them too well, even with glasses. those that don put up man they even came with pictures. im rewiring the whole boat and also adding more circuits. ive found some really info on wire sizes, length. breaker and fuse sizes but i know im going to need yalls help. im a ac mechanic an D.C. is a whole nother animal.the last time we broke down in the boat the coil was shorting out. the engine harness had some wires jumped over cause the pins broke off, so i just started ripping and documenting all the wiring, engine and plumbing. ccheck out chriscraft254 boat. i have the older version the scorpion254. i want to set up the same kind of lighting he installed and pretty much copy everthing he did. maybe not everything but close to it. thanks again

Re: help please.

thank you.

See if you can do anything with this program. Inkscape. Draw Freely. It's free and vector based

The vector base drawing is what makes it possible to blow things up bigger and it still be clear, your basic .jpg image is a raster image and gets fuzzy and pixalated when you blow it up too big.

Problem is, these programs (even the free ones) have a pretty steep learning curve.
Here is a web based program similar to photoshop you might find handy as well. Especially if you make your drawings big enough for yourself. Photo editor online - Pixlr.com edit image

The proper programs, and the experience and abilities to put it all together is all I can say. I wouldn't have a clue where to start with that project.
