Help please, Bog down once warmed up

Hello, I am new to working on boats but understand mechanics. I am having some issues. I have a 1987 four winds 160 freedom with a 3.0 mercruiser motor. I bought it last year and have done some work. I replaced the belt, starter, fuel pump, spark plugs, wires, coil and upgraded to electronic ignition. Oil change was just done. Ran well for a fathers day morning run of fishing then in the afternoon boged down and cut out let sit for a bit and stated but need a bit of throttle. Ran long enough to get back to the launch. I'm just looking for some help to resolve this so I don't get stuck anymore

Sounds like some crud in your fuel has plugged up things. There is a screen under the fuel line fitting at the carburetor, which is one of the things to check. Most times '87 boats don't come from the factory with a fuel water separator filter, but if you have one, dump it into a glass jar and see if there is much crap in it. The mechanical fuel pump should have a built in filter/trap, check it. You probably need a carburetor rebuild kit.

What type of ignition did you install on it? Marine rated I hope.
