Have old Johnson 5 HP outboard motor was told to use Champion plug J6C---but I later found an old sticker on the motor that listed these plugs,
Champion---J4J
AC---------M42K
Autolite----A21X

Is the Champion J6C a replacement for these older plugs????? and why does it take 2 plugs??????

Thank's

I'm guessing it's a 2 cylinder motor?

Champion J4C plugs are a direct replacement for the J4J's.

That's what I use.

Yes it is a 2 cylider engine,

currently recommended plugs are J4C although some sources list J6C.

Gap should be 0.030"
