Hi,
I have a Mercury 20 hp Blueband motor early to mid 80s' that i need to replace the gearbox on so it has just been sitting for about 4 months it is a spare motor not in use so i am in no rush to get it done and i am having trouble finding the right box for it so i am not sure how long it will be left standing.
What i want to know is how would i go about running the motor to keep all the seals lubed and avoid the problems assosiated with leaving a motor standing for ages.
It is in really good condition and i want to keep it that way if i ever decide to use it or sell it on when i finish it.
I was thinking just connecting the hose the the water pipe maybe but wanted to get advice before i got trying anything.
Thanks
