Seems like this is a common GP problem? Im only getting a "slight" spark on center wire #2. the #1 and #3 are giving no spark. ski normally runs great, but now it just turns over and over fine but won't crank up. it sat for quite some time so i've cleaned everything and new gas. i've got a primer kit on it so i don't think thats the problem, inline filters are clean, i've also just put a brand new battery it so the power supply should be fine. i've tried all the tricks like dissconnecting the kill switch, cutting back the plug wires, new plugs, etc...but still no spark. i've done a lot of reasearch on this and some say start with the stator, CDI, coils, etc but those are all fairly pricey and i would like to get it right the first time....any other ideas!!!

I know nothing about yamaha for the most part but get a book and do all the tests for the componants you mentioned, be certain the coil wires are clean and grounds are clean if it sat with a battery hooked up it could have ruined the ground wires or corroded the connectors.I have had plug wires destroyed internally also Pull on the wire where the plug caps go on if its bad they will pull out if its good they will feel tight.if one is firing it is most likely just dirty connectors some where

flush is ok because you are screwing it to the wire but I would trim it back a 1/4 of an inch and pull on the core wires with a pair of needle nose to be sure they are not eaten up down the wire inside it some place I have had that happen with kawasaki wires , don't know about yamaha, try the yamaha spot at pwc today ,some one there could give you better ifno than I can
