help!! no fire to coils 1988 omc 2 liter

just installed new power pack,water cooled rectifier,and key switch a new stator was installed 2 months ago with flywheel magnet kit is there any way to test the powerhead

First place I'd look would be the new key switch. Do you have the safety lanyard hooked up. A shop manual would detail steps to take to diagnose and fix your problem.

i have gone as far a disconecting the safety lanyard thinking it may have shorted out key switch and accesories work fime from switch

accessories aren't tied into the engine circuit. The safety lanyard opens the kill circuit. Without the safety lanyard attached the kill circuit is closed and even though the starter will crank the engine will get no fire.

Unplug the large red connector on the port side of the engine. This will remove the key and lanyard switches from the circut. Use a remote starter switch at the starter solenoid and see if you get spark. If you do, then isolate which switch or wire is causing the problem. Just remember the engine will not shut down unless you reconnect the red plug again. The key and lanyard switches ground the ignition system, it's not a 12 volt powered system like a car.

tried that still nothing hope it aint the powerhead
