I have a 1998 Yamaha 150 VMAX 2 Stroke (P150TLRW) that I am having issues with. When I’m on the water it can get on plane for a few seconds and then it bogs down. I’ve replaced both fuel pumps, cleaned the carbs twice and rebuilt them once, replaced the gas lines, replaced the spark plugs, replaced the water pump and impeller, replaced gear lube, and recently bought a 3 gallon gas tank to rule out a dirty gas tank. I’ve checked the oil levels and they are good.

When I rebuilt the carbs I removed the fuel/air screws to clean them out. Since I’ve put them back on, I’ve seated them and turned back 1.5 turns on each one. The motor is idling in range, 700-800 RPM. Yes I have the manual and no it doesn’t specify other than the RPMs.

I’m not quite sure what else it could be. Looking for any and all advice.

When you say bought the 3 gallon tank, you're saying it still did the exact same thing using the portable tank?
And, are you getting the overheat alarm? Just wondering if its going in Limp Mode
