Help needed selecting a controller

Hi all!

I’m trying to pair my 2004 Johnson 9.9hp outboard with a controller. I’m putting the engine in my 1960 runabout, so I’d like to use the controller for shift and throttle only and put the ignition and kill switch, etc. on the dash, like it was back then. Question is, can I use this controller for the purpose?!
