Hey,

I wanted a little help in regards to getting one of the smaller ski pylons for my old run about motor boat. Currently I attach a pulley system up to transom of my boat, but I'm a wakeboarder and it really pulls you down when trying to jump.

I'm looking at the swivl-eze plyons (Ski Pylons For Boats), but don't really know much about them or how to install them (though I have googled it like crazy). So this is why I'm looking for help here.

My boat is an old 1970's runabout boat (similar to the boat in the attachment if it worked), with a splash well. The floor to the top of the engine is about 2-3 feet. I unfortunately do not have any access to underneath the floor (so I would not be able to bolt the plyon to it).

What are your guys thoughts on how to install one? Which one would be the best? I was originally thinking of getting the Ipylon for Insanity pylons, but think that it will possibly through my boat off balance when a wakeboarder is cutting out wide.

Any ideas would be great! Thanks!

The ski pylon installation on my Checkmate looks like it's very similar to what would work for you. Out of the ones on the page you linked to the second one (Master Pontoon and Boat Ski Pylon) looks like the one that would work in a setup like this. (By the way, have you checked iboats prices on these yet?). You will need to get to the underside of the splashwell area to secure the bolts for mounting this, I'm guessing that should be possible. I'd also use a piece of something like 1/8" steel or aluminum plate on the underside to spread the load for each of the mounting points.

Thanks! Yes I do have access the under the splash well in my boat, I just wasn't sure it the splash well was strong enough to take that kind of a load. So putting bolts through the splash well would be no problem. I may also put some extra fiberglass on the underneath part too, just to have it even more secure.
