I have the carbs back on my brother-in-laws 1993 40hp. Johnson, but I don`t think they are right,
still on the muffs, I got something that might pass for an idle to check the the timing, which is at
2 ATDC. What I noticed when trying to get it to run long
enough to check the timing, was that I had the slow speed mixture needle on the upper carb closed off, and
the head of the needle on the lower carb was out even with the brass piece around the needle. Is there someing
I missed? do I have the floats to high or to low? Should I do the carbs again? and if so what should I be
looking for? maybe I missed some dirt. I don`t think its ready to do the last adjustments on the water like this.
