I have a 19' VIP runabout with a 4.3LX and alpha 1. Running a 19p aluminum 3 blade now, fully loaded it takes longer than i'd like to get on plane pulling skiers, etc. This 19p i put on after being even more dissapointed in the existing 21p aluminum. I have been reading about 4 blade props and am wondering if one would be worth a try. Cost aside, going with a stainless prop makes me nervous because I do a decent amount of boating in shallower lakes with increased risks of prop-strikes.

Data:
Boat is a 19.5' VIP valiant (1995) that weighs 2555lbs dry, 4.3LX a1 drive
current prop is a quicksilver aluminum 19".

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks

Can't help without more data. We need to know if you're in the proper RPM range for your motor.

What is your top speed currently? And what RPMS is the motor turning when you are at top speed? Is there a sticker on the motor that tells you what the WOT rpm range is supposed to be?

need you WOT RPMs and speed to comment on prop, but you should get your self some trim tabs, they will help greatly.
