Hi guys, reviving a 65 Merc. I'm unsure of the exact year as i dont have the serial number but from what i've found parts wise its probably a 76-77

Anyway, i need help timing it. I've had to replace all the electronics and i don't see any timing marks.

Anyone with some tips?

You have the plastic timing pointer? It was in rope start pack inside cowl.

No. I only have the powerhead. Not going back into an OB. Different application.

This might help but you need the pointer, maybe you could make one.

Thanks 850 ! I do have a pointer, it's metal and part of the one of the case halves i think..... or starter mount...... Not super familiar with this motor yet. ...going from memory. Anyway, i assume thats the same ? Will give it a shot tomorrow night after work.

Thank you for posting those for me.
