Help me Please with Volvo 4.3 GL Starting Problem

Ok new problem today with my Volvo 4.3L GL

When I go to start my engine it only runs in the start postion and as soon as you release the key back to run postion engine looses all spark.

Ignition Switch????????????????????? or something else

my friend had the same problem we changed the switch and it fixed it

With the key switch in the run position check for voltage at the coil positive terminal (purple wire). If no power suspect the main electrical connector on the engine, the lanyard kill switch, or the ignition switch.

Will check voltage in the morning hope its just the switch
