1975 70 HP Johnson Model 70ESL75B<br />Quit running about 2 weeks ago. Did the whole troubleshoot thing and found that PowerPack was gone. Replaced it and it ran perfectly.<br />Used boat for about 1.5 hrs, ran well. Shut off for the day. Went to dock 2 days later, it started well then it stalled. Hasn't started or even fired since (no sign of firing).<br />Put old Powerpack on, no change. (old one would cause some backfiring but not now)Put new one back on. <br />Checked sensor coil as per manual no problems. Pulled the powerpack #6 key switch lead with no change. Checked flywheel key all is OK<br />It seems to have some spark, and it is getting fuel. The motor was "tuned up" less than 20hrs before this. (carbs, fuel lines, spark coil changed, compression is 110psi all 3 cyl)<br />I need advice as to what to check next.<br />ie <br />Stator=what should be checked?<br />Ignition switch =Can I bypass it to see if it is faulty?<br />Need an expert very badly. All help is appreciated!!
