Help identifiy vintage Evinrude Elto engine

Hi all,

At my parents we've found an old Evinrude Elto boat engine. I would like to know more about this engine, like from which year is it, which model, is it considered an engine worth keeping and maybe restoring in any way, etc. Any kind of input is very welcome

I have searched through the Internet with no real success, and ended up here, and not sure if anyone here can help but it's worth a shot I thought. Have a great weekend!

Model 4296 is a 1939 2hp Sportsman. Guys at the Antique Outboard Motor Club probably know all about it. www.aomci.org
