help ID this motor year

I bought this boat, motor and trailer. Figured it was worth it just for the boat and trailer. started working on the mtr and it has no spark. checked the tag on the frame for the transom and looked up the coils. but they do not match. I will try to post some photos to see if some one can get me in the ballpark on the yr.

Looks like early '70s based on the hood.

1974-76 25hp. Has the Lo-Tension Magneto. You seem to indicate the tag is on the stern bracket? What does it say?

the tag says E25RCTE. I believe this was pieced together from 3 mtrs the stern bracket off an '83 and the tiller handle assembly off a another

That model number would indicate a 1983

Powerhead is a 22-cube, which was discontinued in mid 1970s. Model number is of the clamp brackets alone, not the rest of the motor...
