HELP I need

Previous owner of my hydro electric shift disconnected the shift switch.


I need to know what wires go to what pole on the switch.

I am fairly certain it was wired backwards.

Has Two purple wires on same circuit, A green wire a blue wire and two yellow wires.

For a Hydro -electric gearcase (not electramatic...)
Forward is Green and Blue NOT connected to +12V
Neutral is Only Green connected
Reverse is Green and Blue connected

It should be marked. If not, there are two terminals directly across from each other on one end of the switch. Those two get the white wires (they were originally white, may be discolored to yellow) Makes no difference which white wire on which terminal.

Along one side of the switch, there is one more terminal. That one gets the two joined purple/purple-green striped wires

Along the other side of the switch, there are two more terminals. The one closest to the white wires gets the blue wire. The one farthest from the white wires gets the green wire.
