help! i need a 1987 OMC COBRA manual

so i got my first boat an 1987 sea swirl 4.3 with a cobra and was takin it out 4 times a week until it got stcuk in forward and i starting learning all about the lower shift cable. i really want to get it fixed so i can get back out to the lake. i need the factory manual i have looked all over and have not found it. hell i even emailed stuart hastings and just told me to look at ebay. does anyone no where i can find this f@#kin manual!

Man,I just sold one...A manual and a new lower cable..

Here is what you need.It should cover anything you need.
The factory manual are really worth the price!.....You can email this guy also,he may have a 87 book..

Anyone know why the 1988 manual is DOUBLE what the 1989 one is? How many differences could there be from '88 to '89?

Either manual will work fine.there was no major changes over those 2 years.
His prices depend on the condition of the book itself.
The 105 dollar book is probably never been touched.
The ones i bought from him were used and i gave 75 for one and 60 for the other.
Shoot him an email and see what all he has and how much.

I would buy an OMC shift cable...not an aftermarket one.

If I had to go aftermarket, you can pick up the Sierra version for $73(Boatfix) part number 18-2245.

The OMC part number is 987661 or 987662 depending on the year of the drive. Fast Eddies Marine will carry that one at the best price. They give 18% off of list price.
