This 15 Hp engine has done no work, so to speak it is quite old now purchased about 1994 or there abouts. The Cd Unit packed it in and I had another fitted but the timing was out the engine would run but had no power. a second hand one was purchased from a wrecker and it worked ok What I would like to know is if a later Model spark module can be adapted to fit as new originals were not avaiiable 20 years ago.
My understanding was that the location of the later assembly differed from the original thus changing the timing. Is it possible to adapt a later model unit by relocating to advance or retard the spark to suit the old engine. Thank You
