help! i have a duratech and i need to know the horsepower to buy!

i have a duratech 1962 s14r. it is 13.5 ft long but it is alot heavier than a regular metal boat that size. i am thinking 20-25 hp? HELP!

Hey James. The S14R is not a '62. If you share your 5 digit serial from the same ID tag, we can ID the year. My bet is that the year confirms it as a '60, but we'll see. The S14R can take up to 35 hp per the original Duratech literature. Very tough hull.

I gotta a 12 ft duratech, yes choppy but very stable. Runs awesome with my 57? seaking 5hp. It tends to plow in the lakes. 14 foot would be sweet though.

i found the year on some faded old picture of a list on i boats. i have pretty bad eyes for small letters.
