Help I.D.'ing Merc 40

Can someone help me ID a MErc 40 horse with oil injection? S/N 0C244164. Sny other details would be appreciated too - 2 or 3 cyl; how are the Merc oil injection systems, etc. Thanks!

Book shows the serial number you gave as a 1990 4 cylinder.

Thanks Trent - now does anyone have any comments on the Oil Injection? I have heard that some are problematic. How about the Mercury system?

Mercury - no worries.<br />OMC and VRO is another story, sometimes.<br /><br />/Bear
