Ok i opened the nut here and the damn steering doesn't come off...i tried to nudge it back to back but still nothing...is there something i am missing to take off? i was pulling pretty hard and it feels like the whole dash will smash into my arms so i was hesitant to pull more.

Re: Help getting steering out

may end up having to borrow you a wheel puller to get it off they can be stubborn at times, i have left the nut on to where it covers all the threads up and take a 2 by 4 and place it on the nut while applying pressure to the wheel and knock it off with a hammer but the wheel puller is the safest way.a torch lol nah just joking, good luck

The wheel is just pressed on the 3/4 tapered shaft. Sometimes a three jaw puller will get if off.I have tapped them with a hammer and they pop right off too.
It uses a key way in the groove of the steering shaft.
A shot of PB Blaster can help too.

every one of those sugestions should work.you shopuld be able to wedge the top of your knees under lower part of wheel, re-install nut by hand, covering threads. another hand on top of wheel pulling while knees/legs pushing, a couple of whacks with hammer on shaft and it should pull right off.
