Just bought a new boat with a 115 Johnson outboard motor mod#L115GLEDC Ser#G04113252 CE 96. I am assuming it is a 1996 but not sure. I have found two OEM manuals but not sure which to buy.

1) 90,115,1250,150c,175 hp 60 degree LV

2) 88,90,100,112,115 hp 90 degree V

Any idea which manual is the correct or how to go about finding the right one? And am I correct that this is a 1996?

Thnaks

Mike

Re: Help finding service manual

gut - I would get the OMC shop and parts manuals specific to your motor and not one that covers a series of engines. Go to any dealer that carries BRP (OMC) parts and order them. They can also be found on eBay if you have a bit of patience.

Re: Help finding service manual

Looks to me that the OEM shop manuals those years covers several models. Does anyone know for sure?

Does anyone know what the 60 degree lv stands for and does CE 96 on the serial plate truly means 1996?

I don't think dealers can get manuals for 97 and older anymore. Try calling the Ken Cook company in Milwaukee, Wisc for an original manual. They will need you model number when you call.
