help finding part number for a 15hp

I have 15 HP Mariner I am trying to order a electric starter for the motor but having a hard time trying to locate the part by serial number, I can not find any information regarding this motor any help would be appreciate

Unless your motor has an electric starter you probably won't find it and If you have electric start take the starter in to a shop to rebuild it. Trying to add electric start to that motor will be almost impossible. Factory support for the yamaha built mariners is poor at best and there is no aftermarket aftermarket support. You may be able to find the yamaha that your motor is based on but even that is a long shot. It might be easier and cheaper to buy a 15 hp with electric start.

Ok just updating, I thank my google Kung Foo; I think I found the Part looks like [h=1]50-90983A 5 - Starter Conversion Kit[/h] is what I am looking for so $300 part sounds way better then a new $2500+ motor with electric start.

No that will not fit you have a yamaha built mariner motor that starter is for an American mercury motor. They do not interchange see what I said in post #2. Put up a pic of your motor
