The mechanical fuel pump from my 4.3 L needs replaced. It currently has a Carter 0-2210. I see there is a Sierra pump replacement. However, I've heard that I should stay away from Sierra pumps. The OE part number is 41141A2. Where can I buy an OE pump? Or is the Sierra OK?

Superceded by 862077A 1, if you want OEM Merc.

Google the new number. Couldn't find it on iboats, but it's out there. Also, any Merc dealer oughta be able to order you one.

Howdy,

That OE pump model model number crosses to a Carter M60315 and looks like the following......

You can buy a Carter M60315 at many places for about $60-70 + shipping.

Nothing wrong with Sierra and you can buy one right here from iBoats!

I have never had a Serria fuel pump fail and if it does they will pay me labor and replace part for free... only Serria parts I don't use is the outboard carb kits as ran into gaskets being to thin

Like many things nobody does everything perfect but for the most part sierra is decent quality and they do honor their warranty.
