New to boating having recently bought a Maxum2100sc. Boat came with depth sounder which I think works on 200Khz. I've recently bought a Garmin GPSMAP 451s chartplotter and transducer (50 & 200khz). The chartplotter is installed and working well but I'm not sure if it's possible to operate two transducers at the same time, new transducer can be set to work at 5okhz. If operating on different frequencies is it possible can they be mounted in close proximity.

thanks

Re: Help - Dual Frequency Transducer

Short answer if they are truly running on different frequencies you can run them together.

However,
Most dual beam transducers that I know of transmit both frequencies even if you are only viewing one of them on the chartplotter.

You can always try them at the same time and see if you get any interference. It wont hurt anything, but may give false readings.
