Help ! Battery charging from a Merc 25

Hi,<br />What do I need to do to set up my 25 HP Merc to charge a battery. The S/N is 9317675, 1985 I am told, part nrs Etc.. would be useful.<br /><br />Thank you.

You'll need to go to a Mercury dealer. You won't find those parts anywhere else, and they'll probably have to order them for you. There are kits available in the Parts and Accessories catalog that every Merc dealer's parts department will have at the ready. I believe your kit would consist of a charge coil that goes under the flywheel and a rectifier, plus assorted hardware and wires. Not all Mercs can be upgraded this way, but most can.
