What do you guys use to keep all your stuff organized at the helm? I'm talking cell phone, wallet, car keys, camera, anything similar. I always have a pile of stuff on the dashboard, and I'd like it to be neater/organized.

On the same lines, the PO had a lovely piece of sculptured tan carpet as a dashboard cover. Yuk. Not to mention I spilled red Gatorade on it, so it now looks like a murder scene. I'd like something that stuff won't slide around on.

Glovebox. Has enough room for everything I need........Just :D
GPS is mounted on the dash and hand held radio is in a little hanger pocket with a velcro strap so it doesn't jump out when it gets choppy.

we take everything but the kitchen sink...

gps is velcroed to the dash under the radio
cell phone velcroed to the dash under the 12v cigg. power supply.

the glove box on my boat is weird. didn't think i'd like it. in the end use, i do though. basically it's a like a reg. glove box but w/o a door, just has a board over the ft. of it. it's ft. load, just drop stuff in there. that's where my registration and keys go. wallet stays in my street shorts or pants and gets stored alongside the gunnels by the seats.

the velcro works very good... once in a while something will fall, but not often..

all the gear is for the overnighter we were doing. granted, i can get it down to one bag. but a fella does have to make some concessions i guess..

oh, the camera is in one of the bags. if it's out, it just sits on one of the back facing seats for easy access...

I don't have a glove box, or a spot for one, so I started looking at the BoatMates products, and came across this on ebay, and bought it. I Think it will be very useful, especially for <$30!

Installed one of these as an oversized glove box, installed a 12v outlet inside.
It is waterproof and the wife can keep the phone, camera, and ipod inside, dry, and charging if needed. Put a thin layer of foam inside to cushion the blows.

We have 2 pedestal seats, not back-to-backs, so we had room between the seat base and the gunnel. So I added these. Works out well for all the wifey's little stuff, and when we swivel the seats around to face the rear, there is another drink holder at the back.

The seller seems to have more, but this was the only one listed today. Seller's name is fishonguy30 Here's a link to the one I got: http://cgi.ebay.com/BoatMates-Seat-...at_Parts_Accessories_Gear&hash=item3a4bcc6450

I don't think it'll float, or that it's waterproof, but with a little ingenuity, (aka styrofoam blocks or something) I can make it into a ditch-bag.

There are a couple others, but they were around $50 and up. Keep an eye on this guy, looks like he'll have more.
