Hey everyone, Im new here. I've been looking for a site with a forum that is geared towards boating. I am an avid fisherman but sometimes I think I enjoy messing with the boat more than actually fishing on it!
Anyway, I am purchasing a 2003 Angler center console with a 2003 Johnson 90 2 stroke. I am used to the older omc motors...You know, the "hickup", "choker and smoker" etc, etc. I know this still isnt a computer controlled fuel injected engine but what should I expect from this engine? Will it most likely still be a pain to start like my old engines? Also,...Im taking it for a test run today but I noticed that the lower unit has been painted over! Why?...could something have happened? Is it just the boat yard doing annual touch up? We'll see Anyway any info for a boat owner finally stepping up to a boat of modern times would be greatly appreciated.
