Dear all,

we have a boat with heeling, i t looks like the boat weights more one side that the other one.
so we try to correct tis noisy movement, with the trim buttons, trimming more one side that the other one.

Is there any article or option to correct this movement with the usage trim buttons of the F350 ??

i have the owners manual and we have studied carefully , but the info that appears is not so deep relationship with the trim buttons usage.
or if anybody knows how can we correct this , will be strongly appreciated.

waiting for your comments,

best regards,

Welcome aboard.

I would suggest trim tabs. that is what they are used for.

I'm sorta surprised that a boat with twin 350's on the transom didn't come equipped with trim tabs?....maybe an oversight by the boat dealer/rigger?..,

trim tabs go on the transom and have nothing to do with the outdrive or engines. just like flaps on a plane, they are used to adjust attitude of the boat

I would research the trim tabs with your Yamaha outboard dealer and let him give you some guidance on available units, prices and installation....you'll need the controls to be wired into your control console so you can make adjustments while under way....I wouldn't consider this to be a do-it-yourself type project....like I say, they should have already been installed on a boat with twin 350's....

The trim tabs are electro-mechanical and/or hydraulic and are mounted on the bottom trailing edge of your transom, one on each side....

hi there,
sorry my english is not good i think i didnt express correct, i m not a troll, i mean the anode near the propeller,
but in this model F350 Hasnt no shape as helm as in other yamaha models,..
the problem with the flaps is make boats reduce speed.
no easy issue due the boatbuilder sold boat assuring speed 50knots i think and due this problem all solutions by moment make boat lose speed, sorry but my english not as good as it should be.
thanks for all your comments, best regards

you do not put the trim tabs all the way down. you need to only adjust them as needed to adjust the attitude of the hull.

I would start with making sure that all your moveable weight in the boat is placed to get the boat to sit level.

then start with both motors at even trim down , trim tabs all the way up. as you are under way, raise both motors to get you to a slight bow up attitude while on plane. then adjust your trim tabs slightly as needed to correct any athwartship healing. remember, you press down on the button on the side of the boat that you want to lower the bow. and you only adjust for about a second, give the boat some time to react, then adjust again.

as far as maximum speed of the vessel, we do not know what you are working on. twin 350's may be enough to get you to 50 knots, or you may need 10 of them. it will depend on the size of the vessel, the style of the hull, and how much you are displacing. If this is a custom build, you may need to go back to the boat builder.

If this is a true problem please post some pictures of your boat and motor set up out of the water so we can see how they are set up.
We would like to know where this boat is located( country) , what size it is , and who made it.
Large boats always have a way to level up on plane(trim tabs)

Maybe you just need to change the way you load your cargo if transporting stuff and worry about the speed
