Did a test run to a 2004 Campion 492 CC (17’) with 2004 Mercury 90 HP 2 Stroke that performs perfect with no pull at plane or high speed.
If fin is adjusted will that help without affecting high speed performance or do I need hydraulic steering system or??
Cheers

Harry, I do not understand the question. If she doesn't pull at speed, there is no need to adjust the anode. If she pulls during acceleration, trim up a bit.

To add to what Chris posted, you probably could use a pin in the holes of the transom bracket to limit the full down trim position.

Not sure around the wording here. Are you saying it performs perfect or asking how to stop the torque steer at some planing speeds ?
I had a similar issue with a 16ft and a merc 90. I adjusted the trim fin a little and it helped. But the engine was also a little too low on the transom too.
Also had the same issue on a boat I have now. But much worse. Power steering was the answer to that. Given the larger engine.
Just be aware that if you are going to try the trim fin offset…it can also have the opposite effect at high speeds, if you go too much.
Also check the engine is mounted correctly and it’s offset to the side a little to counter this effect

I have a couple of things to try.
If after some attempts I believe it might end up with needing p s but will experiment.
Thanks
