Some topics raised here are excellant. Like the ones on investment, and University options etc.
I have a suggestion.
Would it be feasible to raise a topic, make it very specific, eg INVESTMENT thru RESIDENTIAL RENTAL PROPERTY, and we comment, advise, pass on our experiences.
We could cover all apsects of investment, seperately. Personally I would enjoy learning from others experiences.
Education is another for me.
Now for the Dady-of-them-all. Mens Health.......
Prostrate problems
Heart conditions
Stroke
etc.
I don't know about you guys, but I find it difficult to ask across the dinner party table, "How's your prostrate going these days Keith".
I have actually been down this road in the past 12 months (not yet finished) and the outcome was not what I expected at all.
So is it a stupid suggestion to have specific topics up for discussion where we can hide behind our keyboard names and ask advice from others and have open discussions on matters we are pretty ignorant on.
I followed Plywoods plight a while back, real close, as I have done with others.
The 'old hands' on this board have got to be a vital source of info and assistance for the younger ones.
Also be good to have such topics kept seperate somewhere so they don't get lost 30+ pages back.
Any constructive comments?
Cheers
Phillip

How's my prostate? You know,I used to look at girls and stuff, nowadays I'm grateful when I can pee.
Seriously, since reaching the ripe old age of fifty. My doctor insists on checking my prostate once a year.First time I thought to be funny about it and asked the doc if he was gay.I soon was very sorry for ever having asked him.....His revenge was deep reaching   ! I still do not know what is worse. The checkup or cancer.

Pretty miserable experience, isn't it rolmops?

Believe me, it is worth it. Of the four things that have tried and failed to kill me, prostate cancer is maybe the scariest.

My doc offers a dinner and dance first, he's a bit old fashioned that way ;) .

Thankfully, clear bill of health.

Get it done and don't worry until you feel both the docs hands on your shoulders. Last two times I had mine checked it was done by a lady doc
.
Now that was a different experience.
.
I have never had a colonostophy (sp) done, but am scheduled in Jan. From what I have heard I am not looking forward to that experience.

Yah, Dr. Fat fingers was a real "eye opener"  first time round. But the worst part was her-self’s snide comments after the fact, no compassion at all. As for the colonoscopy, worst part about it was the "prepping" a day or so before hand. The procedure its self is no big deal.

Yep, I had it scheduled once before but when the doc found out I was taking 81 mg of aspirin daily he said he would have to reschedule. That was sort of a mixed blessing.. :D
.
Thanks for the info and will go through with it this time..

Your time is coming, Aldo. ;) I never thought I would live for ever, but then I didn't THINK I would develop Prostate problems - one out of two ain't bad. JB, it is said every man will develop prostrate cancer - if he lives long enough. :D
