head gaskets

Are head gaskets on an 85 Johnson a one torque use only,,,and should be replaced each time head is off? Good source for gaskets for a '76 johnson? Thanks

Some people do it, but I would never recommend it. You should be able to find them right here on Iboats.

In most cases you torque the head gasket down, run the engine to temp, let cool and then retorque.
You should only use the head gasket one time. Of course you should check the manual for your engine for the proper procedure.
You can probably get gaskets here on this site.
