Having trouble identifying Model/Year

I’m currently in the process of restoring an old 90 hp Johnson outboard with missing model badges so I have no idea what model it is! I was able to find the serial number on the bolt on top of the motor: j88mslcccr78035501

Would someone be able to help me identify the year and model with this number?

I would guess it to be a 1988 model.------Marketed as an 88 HP special.-----Same as a 90 HP but often with no oil injection or power trim / tilt.----Well at least the powerhead is 1988.-----The rest could be a different year.

the parts place j88mslccc is a 1988 for sure
includes a VRO and T&T..

The 90 and 88 HP models are the same motor.-----The 88 " special " was marketed at a lower price without VRO and power trim / tilt.----And clearly lists a non VRO fuel pump for the 88 HP version !!
