My wife and I are boating on the Meremac River by Fenton Missouri and one jumps in the boat we look back and there is a 30" fish.( the first time in this boat for my wife and the fish too)I heard that people have got injured. Have you had a visitor in your boat? where and the story....hope all was well for you.<br /> Michael

Wow, my girls just about jump out of the boat when I land a Northern Pike. A 30" carp is alot of fish. I don't think I'll be boating on the Merimac River any time soon.

Yea i go on the MO river and they are there. haha when i take people out i go in the calm water to scare them. They are nuts though just jumpin into the boat and IN the boat at times. Yea people have been killed by them i guess lastyear. I believe it though when you hit one at 60mph and they weigh 15-30lb or so.

I had a Water Moccasin drop into my bass boat while pulling myself under some bushes on Lake Okeechobee. Damn near had a heart attack.

Dear Walrangers<br />When I've asked in Missouri what is the policy on asian carp,, no one gives you a straight answer.<br />I think if you hook one or jumps in boat.They should not be returned to the water alive. Put them on shore for the land criters to feed on.<br />Have the Asian carp tournament.. no live well needed...extra points for those that jump in.<br />They are a big problem. There will be a day when you will need head gear to protect your self.<br /><br />A safe fishing trip to all and rember, I fish in wet water....Michael

I had about a 2 lb bass jump in a john boat once. I was frog gigging from it an night with a light. Scared pee outa me it did.......

I have had the carp jump next to my boat on <br />the Meramec in Mo. and the Kaskaskia in Il.<br />Its quite a surprise to look over and see them<br />higher than your boat.<br />My cousin had one in his boat. He had a slimy,<br />bloody mess before he got rid of it.

I had a large fishing net set up in the rod holder as we were going down the Kaskaskai and a 10 lb carp jump up and landed right into the net. At first it scared the heck out of me then I almost fell overboard laughing. <br /> It was like a catchers mitt only much larger. I often see them jump over the boat while running the river.

No asian carp in my story. I was fishing out of Lake Maurepas in La. and was boating under the I-55 bridge at around 55mph. I was hit in the chest by a half pound mullet. Felt like getting slugged. I think I'm still washing slime out of my vest.

I was attacked a mere week ago. I had gone on a last minute trip to sothern illinois. While down there I decided to launch my old Sylvan out on the Ohio river. Well I'm exploring back by some islands going slow. Suddenly this large fish jumps out of the water right along side the bow and smacks its head into the side of the boat. Scared the crap out of me. Told my sister I was attacked by the Viet Carp. What is the DNR doing to get rid of this foriegn intruder?

My ex wife jumped in to my boat once. Never did get that hook out of her mouth. Ended up gettn rid of her and bought a new boat.
